Baked Brie With Puff Pastry

The holiday season means hanging out with family. In this video, I will show you how to make an Easy Holiday Appetizer, a brie en croute recipe. We are going to bake brie in a puff pastry.

Brie En Croute FAQ:

Do you take the rind off of brie cheese before baking?

A note regarding the rind: I did not trim the rind off before baking. It is completely digestible, and you don't notice it much when your brie is cooked. When I'm devouring brie unbaked, I sometimes cut off the rind simply because I don't take joy in it.

How do you eat brie en croute?

Brush the surface of the brie en croute with egg wash.

Incorporate your favorite jam and nuts.

Wrap the brie en croute in a puff pastry.

Bake: Cook for 25-30 minutes or until pastry is golden light brown. Cool down and serve: Transfer brie en croute to a clean work surface or serving plate and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes. Serve with fruit party crackers and artisanal bread.

Can you reheat brie en croute?

Heating Leftover Brie En Croute.  If you have leftovers, you can loosely wrap it in aluminum foil and reheat it in a 350 ° F oven for about 10 to 15 minutes until the brie is runny again and the puff pastry is warm.
